Regione Palazzo Trail
From the railway station, take the provincial road for Moglio-Testico. At the crossroads with Parco Fuor del Vento turn left into via Cardellino
As the road climbs, you pass the English Library (1912) and the church of St. John the Evangelist (1928), At the crossroads, a mule track on the right winds between gardens and residences built by the British in the 18th and 19th centuries, like Villa Molino (1875).
200 m. on, where the path on the right heads towards the church of Madonna del Vento, is the entrance of Villa della Pergola.
In the 1920s the Villa was home to Sir Daniel Hanbury who transformed its vast grounds into stunning gardens, drawing on the botanic gardens created at La Mortola in Ventimiglia by his father Thomas. The path climbs left, between boundary walls, alternating between cobblestones and dirt track.
Crossing Regione Boccheri, amid olive groves and once cultivated terraces, you reach a semi-derelict villa with stunning views over Alassio and the gulf.
The path skirts a large white villa before a 200 m. stretch of dirt track leading to the Cavia-Vegliasco road, the end of the route.
