Sea, earth and sport for all.
Sea and land, an ideal climate for sports activities, with the support of advanced and extremely versatile infrastructure.
Alassio and Garlenda, with these characteristics that make them unique and precious, are offering themselves to the rest of the world as the ideal place for sport.
Traditional sports, individual or team, have dedicated modern facilities which meet the needs of all sport lovers.
But large space is given, for obvious climatic and logistic reasons, to sports activities that do not require sport facilities, and those that combine sports and tourism through integrated sport facilites in the natural environment, allowing you to discover and enjoy the beauty of the landscape, the variety and the richness of flora and fauna, transforming Alassio and the Region Liguria in a splendid open-air gym. Walkers and hikers have trails both in winter and spring.
Horse riding enthusiasts have scenic and nature trails of great quality, which follow the ancient roads linking villages, far from the urban noise. To point out the path – San Bernardo walk, better known as “green route”.
To get there is very easy: from Via Borri (Campo Sportivo) walk towards the scenic road that leads to the “Puerta del Sol” to the ruins of the Church of San Bernardo. On the left of the road in front of the church then it begins the green path that stretches for about two kilometers between pines and various shrubs.
Among these they were installed several exercise machines and benches to make more pleasant and exclusive permanence in such an environment.
And even hang-gliding, paragliding, mini-golf, table tennis, football, basketball …
SEA, DIVING AND SURFING
In the summer months (but not only) is the sea to attract the largest number of sport lovers: the beautiful seabed, the beaches and the cliffs offer many opportunities for sports, from diving to surfing.
From sailing – sport that made the sea of Alassio famous all over the world – to cycling, from windsurfing to off-shore, from volleyball to beach volleyball, from karate to aikido, from tennis to bowling: the sporting events Golden Register (Albo d’Oro) the townis always present, from January to December.
